Yes it’s true the queen of rap, Onika Tanya Miraj, is currently on tour. Let’s do a review on her performance in Baltimore. We were supposed to see Nicki at 10PM but we ended up seeing her around 10:50. Instead of keeping us waiting, she had singer,songwriter and actress Monica open for her that night to keep us occupied. At this time was the best time to go out and buy food if you were hungry so you didn’t miss Nicki’s performance! Monica performed some of her most iconic songs like ¨The Boy Is Mine,¨ ¨So Gone¨ and ¨Don’t Take It Personal.¨ After Monica’s performance it was finally time for the lady I paid $250 to see come on stage. She’s Nicki Minaj so of course she can’t have a normal entrance.The lights cut off dramatically after Monica walked off stage & there was a countdown starting from 10. As soon as the timer hit zero you could see Nicki Minaj coming out of the stage in a barbie box with others beside her.Nicki was in a barbie box with the name roman (her alter ego) on it.She started playing one of her most iconic songs that she used her alter ego roman in “Romans Revenge”.
The rest of the night was iconic. She had a great track list and she played her notorious verse on Kanye’s song ¨Monster,¨ where she had a better verse than Kanye West Jayz & Rick Ross. She played her most popular song off her most recent album “FTCU” and she decided to throw in a couple of her old songs people enjoy like “Want Some More,” ”Moment For Life” and “Sir”. She had the whole crowd hyped for the time she was there, especially every song she performed I knew, and I was definitely up and singing.She even brought out a popular artist known in Baltimore named “Tate Kolbang” and they performed their song RNB on Nicki’s latest album.
All in all Nicki’s performance in Baltimore was great. It was my first time seeing her live and it was my first time going to a concert. I highly recommend going, there was great food, it was a comfortable area to be in and she didn’t disappoint with her performance. She brought out great people, performed a lot of her best songs and kept the energy high the whole time she was there.
