Are you looking for a throwback show to watch? Maybe it’ll bring back some memories of when you were young! Here is a list of my top 5 best Disney shows!
- Liv & Maddie (2013)
Dove Cameron plays both of the roles of the identical twins in the show. She plays the role of Maddie who is a highschool student athlete. She plays varsity basketball at Wisconsin High School. While Liv, her twin sister, is a star on television. She comes back to her hometown after finishing filming a show and stirs up drama in their highschool life. Maddie and Liv are complete opposites who go through teenage experiences together. This show is a comedy and would always know how to make you laugh.
- Gravity Falls (2012)
An animated show that takes place during summer break at their grandfather Stan’s cottage. Twin siblings, Mable and Dipper spend their entire summer with their uncle. The town is filled with mysteries and adventures that they experience along the way. Together they uncover the unsolved mysteries and discover the secrets and truth beneath the small town Gravity Falls.
- K.C. Undercover (2015-2018)
K.C. Copper, a highschool student works as an undercover spy with her family. The show takes place in Washington D.C. and revolves around them going on missions and fighting against criminals to help promote general well-fare for their country. I really like that this show is kid friendly because compared to many other action shows, they aren’t appropriate for younger children and involve a lot of violence.
- Girl Meets World (2014-2017)
Girl Meets World is a continued sequel of Boy Meets World, which originated in 1993. Riley’s parents Cory and Topanga Matthews had roles in Boy Meets World. So they dedicated Girl Meets World to their daughter as she goes through experiences in her life. She faces many hardships and gets lots of wisdom from her family and friends. I like this show because it teaches many life lessons and how we can learn from them.
- Austin & Ally (2016)
If you’re a musician who is also experiencing stage fright, this show would be perfect for you. Ross Lynch plays the role of Austin Moon who is a talented musician. He sings and dances, while Laura Marano plays the role of Ally Dawson who is also a talented musician. Ally is a songwriter and singer who works at Sonic Boom, her fathers store. According to imdb.com, Ally is the “shy song writer and Austin {is} the spotlight star”. Ally has a hard time singing in public because of her shyness. So instead, she writes songs for Austin to perform on stage, making them partners. Austin and Ally develop a strong bond as they work together to improve their weaknesses in singing.
All of these shows are available on Disney+, so next time you finish watching all of your shows, and you don’t know what to watch? I would recommend rewatching these throwback shows or watching them if you haven’t heard of them before! If you don’t have disney+, no worries! Most of these shows are available to watch live on Xfinity Flex.
