If you are on Instagram, Tik Tok ,Twitter, or just any other type of social media platform you might have heard about some new beauty techniques that are currently trending on most social media apps. Beauty has always been a very prominent part of the media and has a big influence on today’s generations and even past ones. Things like beautycon, beauty influencers, give ways, challenges and even drag makeup. Beauty community has become more and more inclusive and has developed a space for everyone who wants it.
Over the decades, beauty expectations and standards have changed so much. There are now basically no limits to what you can create and come up with, but I think some people might agree with me when I say some, or even most, of these beauty trends going on right now are unnecessary and pointless. It’s possible they could even defeat the point of makeup as a whole.
Big celebrities have been starting a lot of the recent trends that you will see in the media .One of the most recent and prominent ones is when Hailey Bieber started the glazed donut trend in 2022.Putting a little bit of milk frosty white polish on your acrylic nails and a glossy finish on top can create this look. As soon as Hailey Bieber shared her new nails with her fans, many people expressed their love for the nails , and within a few days everyone was getting them. People even putting their on twist on it from different colors , designs, shape and more. From that Hailey Bieber also started influencing the dewy makeup trend, that over time lead people to try all her beauty techniques from glazed donut skin, strawberry makeup, latte makeup, cinnian cookie butter hair and more makeup and beauty trends that have taken over recent.
It is now coming to the end of 2023 and we have seen so much evolution just in this year. My hope for this up and coming year is for, genuinely new, cool, and creative new beauty techniques ,although there have been many ugly, unnecessary and atrocious beauty trends. Even though the trends right now aren’t the best, I have a lot of hope for the future of the beauty community.
