School has begun, and the temperatures have dropped. This can only mean one thing: fall is here!
I personally find joy in the transitions between seasons, especially because companies usually release their seasonal menu items. Some are classic items that have made their rounds for yet another year, while others are completely new!
Starbucks has released quite an extensive menu for Fall 2024. This includes drink options such as the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte, Apple Crisp Macchiato, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, and more. You can pair these delicious drinks with any of their bakery options. Specific to their fall menu, they offer Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins, Baked Apple Croissants, Pumpkin Loaves, and adorable Raccoon Cake Pops. These are vanilla cake pops covered in icing and decorated with Racoon faces. Starbucks is a great place to stop by for a quick drink and snack!
For a sit-down experience, you can visit IHOP to try their Maple Pumpkin Cheesecake Pancakes or Pumpkin Spice Pancakes. As a sweet pick-me-up, IHOP also has their new Pumpkin Spice Cold Foam Cold Brew. For dessert, they’ve released milkshakes in Cupcake and Cinn-A-Stack flavors. Looking through some public reviews, many have noted that the pancakes have a pumpkin flavor that isn’t overwhelming, and overall, the pancakes are appropriately sweet and spiced!
When looking for dinner options and heartier meals, check out Cracker Barrel! Their fall menu features savory options such as Hashbrown Casserole Shepherd’s Pie, New York Strip Steak n’ Eggs, and more protein options. For those with a sweeter palate, Cracker Barrel offers Signature Fried Apple French Toast Bake and Southern Apple Cobbler. Drink options include Granny Smith Apple Tea and their French Toast Latte, available iced or hot. I’ve personally tried the Fried Apple French Toast Bake. This dish consists of a thick, soft piece of bread with a cheesecake filling, topped with fried apples and a brown sugar streusel. It comes with butter pecan syrup on the side, along with your choice of breakfast meat. The bread is slightly sweet and has a fluffy texture. The fried apples are perfectly prepared, and the toppings complement the apples and bread well, creating a sweet, cinnamon apple flavor that captures the essence of fall.
With so many tasty options of old favorites and fresh new flavors, there’s something for everyone to dig into this fall. Wishing you a season full of warmth and delicious moments!
